What is a good registry cleaner to use free or for pay?
I haven't used one in a while and have just built a new PC and hate to let it get out of hand.
What do you people recommend?

[Opera] Opera's nice but it also sucks...

Well, on my LinuxMint laptop I've been using Opera because I have to go to a website that doesn't like Firefox for work. Opera seems to play nice with this site..

My questions are as follows...

Can I uninstall Opera Mail? When I installed Opera through the Synaptic manager it did not give me a choice. I use Thunderbird...

Maybe I'd like to keep Opera mail, but I need to use a sync program for calendar and contacts. I presently sync through Thunderbird and Lightning with the Funambol plug in but I can easily switch to Google Sync. I found an Opera widget for Google Calendar I can live with. Is there anything I can use for Opera Contacts? What can I do to sync Opera contacts with Google? Or Funambol?

I can't believe Opera hasn't answered that issue. It really is a Nice browser and very fast. Just impractical for me at least.. with their email program...

Vista Shortcut Overlay Manager

I have had this application since I bought my laptop and once setting it have not had reason to make any changes.

This morning I was going to put the shortcut arrows back to check out some info I was researching on the "Documents & Settings" folder.

I keep getting the error popup posted here. Have checked out this on Google and can find no reason.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the application and no luck.

as the subject says, is there any free ID3 tagging software that supports all media, FLAC, mp3, ogg.. almost everything I'm fiding is pay. Trying out MP3 tag but that doesn't work half of the time w/ freedb. and Winamp is now missing the "mass auto tagger" feature in the new version.

[Need Info] Looking for backup software...

I'm looking for backup software that is image based so I can do a full system restore if my install went south, and I know people love Acronis... however, I'm also interested in knowing if it can:

1. Perform incremental backup, so at the end of the week I can make the image the same as my current setup, w/out having to reimage the entire drive.
2. Can I pull data out of the image if need be (i.e. go and find that word document that I lost...)

Of course, if there is other backup software that fits the bill, I'd be interested in hearing about it, especially if there are any free solutions. That software should also have the capability of being able to start from a boot-disc, but I would assume all imaging software must do that.

After my most recent disaster, I'm tired of starting over and reinstalling everything. Granted, my data was safe, but still, it's really annoying and a gross waste of time!
