Red Zone HD PQ Decrease (Again)

Looks like the picture quality of the Red Zone channel took a hit again this week.

It had been great since Week 3 when we raised hell...but today, it is noticeably softer.

[HD] DirecTv 200 HD's?!

Ever notice how DirecTv never gives a date as to when they will have 200 HD's on their network? Are there even 200 HD channels out there? Some of the less than stellar HD content VZ has added recently would lead me to believe that we are already stretching the envelope. Is it possible the commercial says 'capable of handling 200 HD's'? Any feedback would be appreciated...

Weird Red Zone Widget behavior

I just subscribed to the Red Zone channel for the 29.99 price. Red Zone channel works on all 3 boxes, 2 HD STBs (6200 and 7100) and 1 HD MRDVR (6400). Red Zone widget works on HD boxes only. When I load the widget on the MRDVR, which is also the box I ordered it on, instead of the widget saying Press the red C button to watch in the upper right corner, the MRDVR says Press C to subscribe. If I press the C button, the widget closes out and the box won't let me change channels, restart widgets, etc. unless I power off then back on. I tried unplugging the box for about 5 mins, but still won't work. I don't plan on calling tech support for this, but just wondering if anyone is or experienced this.

[HD] transition question

Question.

If someone is using cableI know FiOS can use the existing coaxial cable instead of running Cat 5 or 6. Now, with cable you can plug a cable ready HDTV in the wall and get a signal without a box-top.

With FiOS TV, do you need the boxtop or can you go straight into the wall with a tv like with cable?

Charged for Cinemax & HBO During the 3 mo. Promotion Period

Verizon keeps charging me for Cinemax and HBO during the so-called 3 month promotional period. Upon complaining, customer service provided me a credit and extended the promotion. But the problem re-occurred each month. After four times, I canceled the "promotion".

Had I not stumbled upon the charge in my bill, I would have paid $72 for what was to be a 3 month promotion.

I am wondering whether my case is an isolated incident or part of a wider problem.

msnbc live in VHO7 cablevision territories

12:30 about and MSNBC is up in VHO7 in cablevision territories. Previously MSNBC was blocked from these areas except for Olympics coverage. There is no guide data though the channel is live. Is this permanent or temporary? Could the exclusive contract ended?

HDNet/HDNet Movies

I've seen it mentioned here that HD Net (Movies) does NOT crop their movies. I too, have noted this.

Well, I just caught "..Gilbert Grape" on HD Net Movies-- and it was cropped to 16:9.

:sigh:
