I am getting antsy, I know but I have seen FiOS trucks around DC the last few days and am curious when the ETA is for actual implementation for some of the so-called early areas

Pathetic

Program Note: Yes, it is possible for the Redskins to play worse than they have been. Tonight's game is proof of that.

Forget just firing Zorn and Cerrato. No, Snyder must go, too. He just doesn't get it.

So, how many of you are heading out into the DC night (tonight or tomorrow) to go do the Halloween party thing? What are you dressing up as? Wife and I are heading out to two parties, tonight, and two or three, tomorrow. Tonight, we're going as a mad scientist and his assistant. Tomorrow will be as two splicers from BioShock.

XOHM in Baltimore

I have had XOHM in Baltimore for about two weeks and am becoming aware of it's strengths and weaknesses. Here are my impressions thus far:
1. I get a strong signal (4 bars on modem) on the back room in my row house in south Baltimore, but no signal in the front of house or on first floor. The aircard doesn't get a signal anywhere except for the rear room of the house.
2. I previously had dsl through verizon. I routinely got between 1 and 2 MB download speeds. I get the same with XOME but occasionaly get greater speeds, up to 4 MB.
3. I spent about 8 hours attempting to get MAGICJACK (MJ) to work. There appears to be no way to get rid of the "choppy voice". I spent a lot of time in chat sessions with MJ help line. We tried a lot of stuff and could not correct the problem.
4. I don't know why, but with my wireless LAN speeds with DSL were a little less than the modem speed. But since I switched to XOHM, my wireless LAN speeds are less than 1/4 the speed at the modem. I can't explain!
