Can't login to 327w after factory reset

I'm having the exact same issue in the thread below. I was using my Westell 327's WEP port for wireless. I reset my modem and now I can't access the configuration settings since it is searching for a DSL signal and it will not proceed past that point.

Proline E90-610030-06 - static routing for LANside ?

I have a DSL connection with a configurable Proline DSL modem/Router, and a registered domain name plus a static IP address.

The public DNSes point my domain name to my static IP address, as expected. I use the Proline's port-forwarding to forward HTML (port 80) to an HTML server inside my LAN. (The internal LAN is configured with non-routable 192.168.*.* range.) This allows external HTML traffic to my domain to hit the internal server.

But machines inside the LAN need help. Currently I use a host file on each machine. But that's a nuisance when laptops come and go from the LAN, so I was looking for a better way.

Could I configure a static route within the Proline? It would map the public named IP address to the HTML server's internal IP address. Will this work? Any gotcha's?

Thanks!

HP w/ Vista cannot connect to Westell 327w wifi, Verizon DSL

I am only able to get a local connection on the 327W at my place of employment. I cannot seem to get on the internet no matter what, but I get a local connection every single time.

There is a wired computer at work that has no problems whatsoever with the connection.

The encryption is open, with no password set up.

Any ideas as to why I can only connect locally?

As soon as I get home, my computer auto-connects to my home Verizon network with NO problem!

7500: dmz _and_ remote access

I've setup my 7500 with dmz to my server/router. That seems to work. The server shows the WAN ip address. I'm still testing, put the server should act as if it were on the internet.

But now I'd like to be able to remotely access the 7500. I'd assumed from the Remote Access part of the manual that port 2420 would work. That is the 7500 would send everything to the DMZ machine, but still keep port 2420. But that doesn't seem to work.

Any suggestions?

Westell Versa Link Firmware Update?

I have looked for a firmware update for a Westell Versa Link 327 W to no avail. The model number is B90-327-W15. At present my firmware version is 3.02, and it was found out version 4.x is the latest release. The AT & T Bell South, and Westell links were searched to no avail. The latter links had the C and D models' firmwares that would not work. Can someone please kindly point me in right direction of where to find it? Thank you in advance.

Ethernet connections shown as Unknown in 327W

Hello everyone.

I saw quite a few posts here with regards to 327W gateway so maybe someone can help me too. I have just yesterday replaced my old Westell Wirespeed with that one. I managed - with Verizon Support - to enable wireless connection for my Vista-running laptop. Everything works OK so far - knock on wood -, but what confuses me is that when I look at properties of connected devices in the gateway's managment console - if I may call it that - , it shows "Connection type" for my wired PCs as "Unknown" and "IP Address Allocation" as "Static IP".
I don't know why? DHCP is enabled on them and they are properly connected to the Ethernet ports. SO, I guess it's supposed to be "Connection Type: Ethernet" and "IP Address Allocation: DHCP"
So, what might be the reason for that?

Thank you in advance.

Verizon Westell 7500

Hello, is it possible to configure Verizon Westell 7500 to act as access point only?

I would like to disable dhcp, routing and modem capability on Verizon Westell 7500?

Small setup: the wireless machines will get to 7500 (just as access point) from there they will send to a router. The router will take care of every thing (ip address, default gateway, dhcp). Router will take them out to internet.

Thank you
