I stopped to photograph this because I thought it couldn't be done. I think that this was actually two couples travelling together and trying to minimize the time necessary to navigate the various locks along the Grand Union. http://www.dslreports.com/showpic/ukpeople?lid=100721&1=1 Teddington Lock -- Take the footpath up the Thames between Richmond and Kingston-on-Thames. A pleasant enough walk, punctuated only by the Teddington Lock complex and the weir. Not all that impressive, is it? Ahhh, but the secret lies across the footbridge crossing the Thames here, which takes you into Teddington proper.And there you find a massive pub and garden, overrun with kids on any summer bank holiday. I really wanted a picture of that, but I would have needed permission from too many families to do it justice. The Fox is up a footpath from the Grand Union where the Brent enters the canal. No foxes, but lots (and I mean LOTS of dogs). The Plough is the pub in Norwood Green. This is part of Osterley Farms about 40 meters off the M4 and well within the M25. I was lucky enough to be there and caught this shot of the Minster.
