|   | Redson's Home Network Update as of 6/13/08. New desktop for my 5 y.o. daughter. "Old" public system from her grandparents closed Postnet. May we added an HP photosmart C7180. New laptop added to the mix 4/1/08, Inspiron 1720 for my wife, replaces her old Dell Laptop. Going to keep that one in and see what I can still do with it. Wireless is still running on the WRT54G. Switch and wired router removed from the network. Wii added in earlier in the month, wireless networking works fine. Upgraded to Elite non-static so I don't need both routers. Upgraded the DSL service 5/9/07 Elite Dynamic now 6mb/768kb plan. RT is only 2 blocks down or so, and I've historically gotten 80-85% of max. By: redsonrising on 2003-03-08 |

|   | My Little Network Just my little network using both LAN and wireless. Running from a Ka 1.5mb/300Kbps satellite connection from the modem to my Airport Extreme Base Station to my 1TB Time Machine to 2 Airport Express wireless units to my stereo and one spare. Both iMacs are currently wireless with my all in one HP printer/fax/copier and scanner via lan. All of my computers are crunching to find a cure for cancer. I crunch with the great folks here at Team Discovery. By: Luvfishin on 2004-05-04 |
|   | jtl's network My setup consists of one XP Pro desktop, three Apple iBooks, one Apple MacBook, and an AMD-based FreeNAS Server which used to be an XP Pro desktop. The notebook PCs connect either wirelessly or through ethernet. A gigabit ethernet switch is used where possible (FreeNAS, XP Desktop, MacBook). It's all connected to the Internet using Comcast High Speed Internet. By: jtl on 2002-07-17 |

|   | Junk No More! Well, I've done a clean sweep of my machines. My oldest machine is now my P4 2.2 Ghz. Last year this time it was my newest!
I have added my wife's Sony Viao laptop and my new dual core system. In addition to the new computers I have added a Netgear WRT614 wireless router. The netgear glues everything together and accesses the net via ICS on the P4. The blazing fast 19.2 kbps dial up is still the connection of choice... By: Mac Bridger on 2002-06-22 |
