Just my little network using both LAN and wireless. Running from a Ka 1mb/256Kbps satellite connection from the modem to my Airport Extreme Base Station to my 1TB Time Machine to 2 Airport Express wireless units to my stereo and one spare. Both iMacs are currently wireless with my all in one HP printer/fax/copier and scanner. All of my computers are crunching to find a cure for cancer. I crunch with the great folks here at Team Discovery.

Home network for myself, wife and son. We use a Linksys WRT54G2 to share a Verizon DSL connection (3M/768) over a 10/100M CAT5e/wireless network. It works well enough for downloading, web browsing and e-mail. Just added a network printer: Brother MFC-465CN Color Inkjet. Recently retired: Netgear EN104; Dell B110; HP DeskJet 3520.

DSL modem and router in basement on wired LAN, plus wired connection to Roku Soundbridge (and TV, Blu-Ray player, etc. -- not shown)
Second wired LAN in spare bedrooms: two desktop machines for me and her, and another PC running Home Server.
Basement LAN and upstairs LAN are connected together with 802.11g using Linksys gear. Mostly because mice ate the phone wiring inside the wall.

Insight Cable connection -10000 down-1000.up.I used Bellsouth Fast Access DSL from April 2000 until Oct 1 2006 when I decided to give the local cable company a chance.I must say that so far the service looks decent.Several very different machines and they are all fast on this setup... . , File&Print server,SEMPRON 3400+ ,Pentium D machine and the little Shuttle RUN 24/7 ....Everything runs AVG Free...This setup scores all stealth at grc.com's Shields up web security test.
