The obligatory track shot from the platform on the last car of the train.

Self portrait in the snow

The Grand Canyon South Rim. This is a pretty good photograph and it's not even the smallest bit as impressive as the real thing. I literally don't have words for how stunning and beautiful the Grand Canyon is.

Hanging over the side of the last car of the Grand Canyon Railway train on the way "home" to Williams, AZ from the Grand Canyon.

A hot air balloon over Napa last week

I'm posting a few shots from a recent trip to the National Automobile Museum. They are all handheld at 1600 ISO. Lighting was brutally low, inconsistent and just odd. I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out anyway.

These are not paper cups. And had they not been $9.95 I might have purchased one or two.

There was a huge table with these things that looked like cinder blocks. They didn't look like candy at first, but closer inspection yielded something pretty sweet.

It looks like they FINALLY found a replacement for the dirigible docking station on the Empire State Building.

The futon in our guest room.

This is an update of this photo: »/showp ··· 162&p=2 Same location, different angle, and taken a few years apart. :) I think I like the original better, but they both have appeal.

Some of the plants in our house. Shot handheld using natural light and processed for exposure.

We had an interesting sunrise this morning and I figured I needed to polish my HDR shooting techniques. This shot is one of the results. The three shots were handheld at 17mm (using my 17-85 is lens) and the exposure was bracketed by 2 full stops.

We were out at Calico Basin in the Red Rock Recreation area today. I brought the camera.

This is one of those photos that I think is right for the wrong reasons. It's not a technical masterpiece. Far from it , in fact. It's blown out, noisy, and the cat is dusty. But I like it just the same. Let me know what you think even if it's negati..(more)

This is a heavily-processed photo. The sky and water have been enhanced and a few dust spots on removed. Exposure has been adjusted, and the whole photo has been brightened. I'll post the original below.
