You'll notice that I make a lot of references to Apple computers and the Mac OS X platform. I've been a huge Mac fan ever since I was a little kid. Even when PCs started to dominate I remained a Mac user.
Maybe this is because my parents are both teachers and, for so many years, Apple stayed dominant in education circles. Regardless of the reasons, I'm a proud iMac user and hope you'll all forgive me! (anyway, they're cool again now, are they not?!)

I come originally from the Vancouver, Canada area. Even though I now live in the centre of the universe, I remain a hard-core Canucks fan -- hence, my snappy Avatar.
I also lived for a while in Lithuania. All of their male names (pretty much) end in 'as' so my name, Steve, was adapted to the Lithuanian 'Styvas'. It's pretty rare and makes a good username (not often taken).
