I love anything to do with the PC. I also love anything to do with the old NES. I enjoy spending time with my wife, the outdoors, handguns (especially 1911s), WWII era submarines, and eating!

Why do I like broadband?:
I had my first experience with broadband while I was in college. My first year at MSU in 1996, the only internet access outside of a few computer labs was a free 14.4 dialup connection. You can imagine my glee when they installed network access in the dorms beginning sometime in 1997. I loved broadband from that day forward. It nearly drove me insane to graduate and come back home to dialup. Thankfully, BellSouth activated DSL in my community and I've been thankful ever since.
I have a website also!:

Why did I join?:
I had an old P2 400mhz computer that I wanted to clean up, format, and learn a little about linux with it. So I did just that after buying a KVM switch (that's keyboard-video-mouse switch) which enabled me to keep my Windows machine and learn linux at the same time. With the press of a button I can switch back and forth between computers. I'm running the linux version of the FAH software 24/7 now on this other computer. I've learned a little about linux and I'm using an old spare computer to do something good in the world. I hope someday a cure can be found through DT and maybe I can feel as if I played some part in it. How wonderful that would be!
When did I join?:
I started running the FAH software on 8/22/04.
