Why did I join?
:
I had a PC that was always on and always connected and decided I wanted to start contributing CPU cycles again.
I had contributed to the SETI program several years ago from work. Now that I have a constant Internet connection at home and PC that isn't really doing anything on the Internet, I thought I would contribute again. :)

Why did I join?
:
I felt compelled to use the technolgy available to us to participate in research that is for the better of the Human Race.
We have a PC that stays idle most of the time and is always connected to the Internet, the least we could do is put some of its power to good use when it is not used otherwise.
