Playing with my son, sailing, reading.

my age:
Old enough to have lived through (and survived in spite of) the first wave of Disco music. I vaguely remember watching Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon, and have a better memory of Nixon resigning.

my computer:
At home: Apple 20" Intel Auminum iMac 2.4Ghz/2G RAM OS X 10.5.6 - Leopard
At work: Apple 17" Intel White iMac 2.0Ghz/2G RAM OS X 10.5.6 - Leopard

(And support in various ways the many PCs running XP & Vista in the office building where I work...)

2003-2009: Apple 14" iBook Dual USB 800/640 OS X 10.4.10 - Tiger
(The home iBook died, long live the iMac!)

My day job:
is at a mid-sized, private university in the southwest.

Why do I like broadband?:
Speed to cost ratio is very favorable.

Recommended books:
Anything by Rex Stout

About my Avatar/Username:
My Avatar is a cap from a personal photo I took while visiting the former East Berlin, Germany - it's the "go" light in the form of a little walking man. They're very popular. My username refers to one of the books of a similar name by a mystery writer, Rex Stout.

My mobile phone:
Samsung bare bones (still has a camera, though, but why?) Really don't need anything fancier - just use it to make phone calls. Wish that was all it did anyway.

I like to listen to:
Classical Music
