8 Minutes to connect.
Spent most of the week end trying to get service. I have 2 case numbers 36186273 this was a 53 Min. call. And 3619100 this also was a long call. It is taking me 6-8Min to connect to any sites. The last call the girl said I was withing the parameters. I told her I I can't get anything on 2 computers parameters mean nothing. I also told her I wanted a discount because we were not able to use our computers all week end. It is no Sun. night at 7PM. I also keep getting these time out messages because of the length of time it takes to connect. I ran web response tests. Some of them never gave a time. The picture came up and then nothing, no time as to how long web response is. I know that's not right I have run that test many times, and it always tells how long web response is. Either way, were without service unless you have 10 min to wait for a site to down load.

I've been having the same issue for several months now Larry. It started on January 23rd to be exact. I don't think Hughes is interested in fixing it.

Same issue here but cant afford to pay $355 for early termination. I was actually told by tech support its my computer. Im just trying to make it thru until my contract is done.

I am so sick of HN and their lies. It's always the customer's fault. Bad computer, bad router, bad weather, it's cloudy, you are within the parameters, bla,bla, bla,. Same answers to the same questions. Going to check with a lawyer this week to see what exactly is going on. If we can't use our computers for days at a time? I think that might be a legal issue. I think it's time we all quit paying our bills till it's fixed. What are they going to do? Shut our service off? How could you tell? I already can't use my computer...

Yes, in the sticks it is the best we can do right now. Well, besides the other satellite provider.
Larry, and the others, I understand your anger and frustration. I feel the same way when I have issues with the service. Right now, I'm getting what I pay for. Could change, then I'll be here complaining also.
Logically, I can't imagine the majority of the 650K customers are experiencing severe consistent degradation. There would be many, many more posts here by many, many more different people. Am I wrong? -

A lot of people have been on here and given up, or got tired of the fight. The internet is loaded with unhappy customers. It's all about the $$ When I switched to Gen 4 it was great for about a month, then it started slowing down. I've been round & round with Suz & Sarah. They do what they can & what they have to. That doesn't help on this side of the computer when your waiting for a connection to a site. Early mornings was always the best. Now that's not even good. Not many choices where I live, but I'm checking to see what else is out there. I have another year of this, maybe by then something better will come along.
