Novus Entertainment is a Canadian telecommunications company providing television, digital phone, and high-speed Internet services via its Pure Fibre Optic Backbone. Novus provides services to apartments, condominiums, and businesses in Metro Vancouver.

What makes Novus FibrNet so fast? Fibre-to-the-Building (FTTB) connectivity means your suite is directly connected to Novus’ powerful fibre optic network – all without the need for a modem. Unlike other service providers, Novus’ network does not share capacity with any other types of traffic such as broadcast television, which allows for faster Internet in both directions…up and down.

Why fibre optics? Most cable and telephone companies still rely either on copper wires or “DOCSIS” technology. Compared to the potential of fibre optics, these traditional wiring standards and make-shift solutions are trying to get as much out of old wiring as possible. However, they can only carry limited amounts of information, are prone to interference, and are optimal only over short distances.
