Re: You Are Missing the Point Ditto.
I would love to be able to give a review of Phoenix like that but I can't get past the installation delays and the misrepresentation of service in my area. The only reason I am willing to stick this out is because of the good reviews of Phoenix that I have read in the past. I think that once I do get there service I will be happy but I don't have it yet so I'm still a little irritated.

Anon | RE: Pre-selling a City Dear Sir:
Whenever we had pre-sold a city in the past (which we no longer do), we informed the customer that it could be months. I am suprised that you were not told this by your sales rep and I want to know if your sales rep did not tell you this so I can look through your file. I find it really hard to believe because my sales reps know what I will do if I catch them not setting your expectations correctly. Thanks.
Sincerely,
Peter M. Roberts, President Phoenix Networks |

Re: RE: Pre-selling a City Mr. Roberts,
I can assure you that I was told that service was available in my area when I signed the contract and that it would be within the 4-6 week timetable. In fact, I have read the same complaint from some other people on this board who had the same sales representative that I did. I may even have the email on my computer at home that states that service is available. I will look tonight.
Peter, I honestly was not expecting to get service within the 4-6 week window because I know how new DSL service is with all its growing pains and coordination issues. It was only after repeatedly asking my sales rep. "are you absolutely sure that service is available to my address?" that I began to believe in the 4-6 week timetable. I had previously called four other providers to see if service was available to my area and they all said no. That is why I was so surprised and excited that Phoenix was able to service my house.
I have absolutely no reason to fabricate the posts that I am contributing on this board. My sales rep. and I had a very clear phone conversation and I came away with the reassurance that service was available to my area and that it would be within the 4-6 week window. There was no misunderstanding. I even followed this up by filling out the "can I get Dsl" form on your website and I got the same response. This is the email that I think I have on my box at home.
Thanks for the responses to my posts and if I have the email from your sales rep. on my box at home I will email it to you tonight.

Re: You Are Missing the Point Is your service up and running at this point in time? I was just curious how the speeds and reliability are. |
