Hawaii's ranking as one of the slowest
broadband States in the nation just got a small boost, with Time Warner Oceanic saying they'll be boosting speeds from 15Mbps to 20Mbps
. Time Warner had previously stated they'd be offering symmetrical 100Mbps connections
, but only to one high-end island resort. This 20Mbps boost remains DOCSIS 2.0 -- Time Warner Cable has yet to solidify their DOCSIS 3.0 upgrade plans, be they in Hawaii or on the mainland. All we know so far is that New York City will be one of the first launch markets.
