What a joke..

I'll have no service at my house before I ACTUALLY PAY my service provider to offload their network load onto equipment that I'm also gonna have to pay for and still be used against my minutes.

What a deal!!

Re: What a joke..

Actually, you don't need a 3G femtocell in the house. Or a 2G for that matter. You only need a femtocell for voice access where coverage INSIDE the house is poor. Most smartphones now provide WiFi access and that is the way to get data in the house. Afterall, the femtocell needs a broadband connection and a router anyway to work. So if you already have those(assume the router is also a wireless router), you would use WiFi anyway.

Obama team members to fan out on summer rural tour

With any luck none of them will discover what it means to be ran out of town on a rail. Sending Joltin' Joe Biden to "fly over' country?. I can't wait for the steady stream of malapropisms to flow forth, much like raw sewage.

Ready the tar and feathers.

Nice win for Sprint on Census contract for wireless access

Sprint get a nice win on getting the contract for wireless access for the Census. I wonder how much the contract was worth? The news item doesn't say.

Jammie Thomas Not Willing To Settle Yet. Acccording To RIAA

In the good old days of Ma Bell, a person could be put in jail for being accused of attempting to make a telephone call through a pay phone without paying the $0.10 or $0.25 fee.

In this case the RIAA wants Jammie's future earnings for the next 20,000 Years.

Welfare for life. Thanks, RIAA.

this is what the pirate party of canada wants people to know

This isn't about artists and suchlike they talk about or theft or piracy, In canada we have a 50 year copyright. What does 50 year copyright do your you the person non artist. Ask yourself then after that who the real pirates and thieves of culture are. How dare they hoard such things form us all.
3 Generations now have had this freedom , it is far too late to put the genie back in any bottle.

I have seen the artist start immediately to talk about money and therein is the hook he just nailed himself.

Oh creating something just for money means its a product NOT art.

Then it is ( the work ) no longer entertaining either , i don't find 10000% markup on stomped cdrs funny do you? The cost of sending 3 meg thourhg the net is very little and htey want ot charge you a 1$ per each of those 3meg songs?
( mp3s aren't even greatest quality aka flac etc)

For hte mpaa and riaa it is ohh htey are stealing arrtits money when the CRIA in canada is guilty of not even payiong its own artists.
I have seen said artist talk about self entitlement for life and the riaa and mpaa are just extensions of this true madness.

In a real just and free society should any one go to jail for...art? Be sued? Fined, Harassed? Treated like a DRM criminal?

I create open source stuff cause i feel i am more of a true artist then them bozos in Hollywood anyway. I never ask anything back and i enjoy the gift of giving and knowing someone enjoys somehting i made and may even add to it.

They call that a legacy, something you leave behind.
Its time 50 year copyrights we dusted and reduced and in the USA you should have them way reduced, 95years plus life of author OMG your poor economy. No wonder they have to outsource everything.
