If you had to have cancerNon-Hodgkins is one of the easier ones to beat. Both my mom and younger sister had non-Hodgkins (my mom had stage 4 and my sister was only 17 when she was diagnosed) and they're thriving 10+ years later. It's got a high cure rate, so Mr. Allen has a good chance for a full recovery. Best of luck to him.

Best of luck!!!Cancer is always tough, no matter what kind. I had skin cancer 2 years ago and had it removed, no problems, but the thought of it spreading or coming back is one that sticks with you. Always get screened!
Best of luck to you, Paul! Thoughts and prayers are with you!

Founder?I may need to check the meaning of "founder" but I believe Paul Allen bought a controlling interest in Charter making him an acquirer ...not founder.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery to EVERYONE OUT THERE WITH CANCER. +1 Have lost most of my immediate family to cancer and have had it myself, 16 years ago. Very uncool stuff!! Never have gotten the suspicion out of the back of my mind about feeling bumps, or seeing freckly spots on my arms, or some place, getting bigger. Don't go to the doctor quite as fast as I used to though!! Best wishes, Paul

Re: My stock went from $3.75 to $0.16So because you made a bad investment, you want him to die of cancer?

A member of DSLR, with a Team Discovery icon proudly spinning away below his childish avatar, wishing ill will on someone with cancer. Nice! Back on topic now, cancer is a monster in any form. Hopefully Mr. Allen can beat it again. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere he once had it back in the 80's. God Bless.

Re: My stock went from $3.75 to $0.16I could have kept my OC'd i7 crunchers which might have found the cure to his strain of cancer had his company's stock not financially raped me.
Irony indeed. | |

Re: My stock went from $3.75 to $0.16said by thender:I could have kept my OC'd i7 crunchers which might have found the cure to his strain of cancer had his company's stock not financially raped me. Irony indeed. So Charter was the only stock you lost money on in the last 18 months? You were "financially raped" by Charter and Charter alone? I had stocks in my portfolio that went from $110/share to $7/share over a period of 3 months from January to March. Maybe I should wish cancer on all the people responsible for the economy. George Bush if you are reading this ...ah never mind. The fact you bought the [chtr] stock at $3.75 when its IPO was around $20, however many years ago it was, should of been enough of a warning to any experienced investor, but who could of predicted the recession? It's not your fault. At least you still have your health.

I wish Paul well, but I don't care for his company.Paul Allen - I wish you success in beating cancer. I hope it's painless and your recovery is speedy.
Charter Communications, however, is a cancerous company that cannot be cured. May it die a speedy and painless death.
You can not have bailout! Not yours!

Re: I wish Paul well, but I don't care for his company.Just because it's out of bankruptcy doesn't mean that their problems are solved.
Watch them run themselves too deep into the red again and fold.
Might not happen today, tomorrow or next year... but it will happen in due time.
