Verizon unveiled the fact they'd be implementing their own application store in the middle of 2009, though questions immediately surfaced about how open this store would be, and if it would clash with Android's own relatively-open application ecosystem. MG Siegler at Techcrunch directs our attention to the fact that Verizon is finally taking the wraps off this app store next week, rolling it out with a Froyo 2.2 update that should hit the Droid Incredible. Installation of Verizon's app store is automatic, and since these apps are tacked on to your Verizon bill, it will be interesting to see how heavy handed Verizon is in directing traffic bound for the Android marketplace their direction.
