Suddenlink Offers SuddenLink2Go Internet Video
Joins the Walled Garden TV Everywhere Crowd
by Karl Bode 02:12PM Thursday Jun 09 2011 Tipped by Pete Abel See Profile
Suddenlink has belatedly joined the "TV Everywhere" party, and is now offering their TV customers SuddenLink2Go, a walled-garden Internet video service providing users with "tens of thousands" of TV episodes, Hulu content, and roughly 1,300 film options. Like all cable or telcoTV TV Everywhere initiatives, the walled garden service is only offered to paying TV subscribers in the belief that this will reduce their motivation to "cut the cord" (cancelling TV service and replacing it with just Internet video). According to the SuddenLink2Go FAQ, the company recommends a minimum connection of 3 Mbps downstream. SuddenLink also recently joined the list of companies offering HBO Go and Max Go, additional walled garden options for those who subscribe to both cable and those premium channels.
