I have a problem with this statement. A properly built-out network should be able to handle the load, especially with the similarities of speeds possible with each of the respective technologies. That Verizon has the money and is willing to build out a faster network, where the others either don't have the money, or are unwilling to spend it without proper competition, speaks volumes.
- Interestingly, guess who was the most recent company to finally build out 3G here? AT&T
- And who is still EDGE? T-mobile
- US Cellular is in process of building out LTE, and their 3G network is at least fast enough to do streaming radio, and in some places, enough for Amazon Prime video.
- Verizon has LTE east and west of here, but not here, I currently do not have experience with their 3G data speeds in the area.
- Sprint has just fixed the daily occurrence of sub 0.1mbit speeds. Suffer with that for over 12 months as I have, and I guarantee that you'll be happy with any speed increase.
It's funny what happens when different perspectives are brought to the table isn't it? And lovely when competition doesn't work well, if at all.
