The developers of LibreOffice have announced the availability of the second release candidate for version 4.0 of the open source office suite. LibreOffice 4.0.0 RC2 includes several incremental improvements and bug fixes and a final release candidate is expected later in the week. The developers have used the 4.0 release to rebase their office suite on the Apache OpenOffice code.

A list of the changes in LibreOffice 4.0.0 RC2 is also available and the release can be downloaded from the LibreOffice web site.
