Time Warner Hunts Bandwidth Hogs
All you can eat, but don't eat too much
(old news - 09:37AM Monday Apr 08 2002)
tags: prices · bandwidth · cable
It appears the Las Vegas all you can eat buffet style of broadband access is going south, at least for Time Warner Roadrunner subscribers, as Time Warner Cable has announced that later this year it will begin charging users who exceed a certain monthly limit (the fees and limits have not yet been listed). The other cable mega-giants, Cox and Comcast so far have not announced similar plans, but to conserve bandwidth cable providers may eventually shift to tiered DSL style pricing plans.
