Verizon's DSL Deal Faster, Cheaper, and long overdue Thursday May 01 2003 15:05 EST Verizon has apparently decided to cut DSL prices and bump up the speeds in several regions and has launched a MSN cobranded portal service. As we recently reported here and is being heavily discussed in our forums, Verizon has been upgrading customers closer than 12,000 feet to their CO to their 1.5/128 DSL package for five dollars less if they call for the upgrade (bundled Veriations customers will now pay $29.95 a month). Spotted via Jim Baller's mailing list, this Telephony On-line article is the first PR confirmation on the new pricing scheme or the somewhat quiet launch of an MSN portal. One of our users has written up an excellent synopsis of what changes have been implemented, and the number users should call in order to benefit. |
