Microsoft to Buy AOL?
Redmond giant denies Post rumor
After Time Warner announced they might shed AOL this week, rumors are circulating that Microsoft could leap on the opportunity. The New York Post
claims Time Warner execs have met privately with Microsoft about a possible purchase of the black-sheep of the Time Warner family. Time Warner lawyers are also analyzing any possible antitrust violations such a merger would cause, the Post claims. A Microsoft investment in Time Warner Cable is also being considered, the paper indicates. Reuters reports
that Time Warner denies any such talks.
