recent statement, Hatch suggested p2p companies were evil, inducing children to steal and engage in immoral behavior. His law, which critics claim is overly broad and will be abused, would increase the penalties for creating peer to peer applications. Hatch co-authored the DMCA, perhaps the most controversial law in US copyright history.
