Socialists tend to get to the middle part of Marx where it talks about government control of capital and stop... They either ignore or forget that there is more than that and/or believe that the midpoint is good enough.
Marxists get past that to the end where the state ceases to exist, people have freedom, etc.
In essence, socialists like Marx, but Marxists understand Marx .
