Opera Software issued a press release earlier this month announcing that it had received PC World's 2005 World Class Award for best Web browser. Mozilla's Asa Dotzler had quite a bit to say in his blog this past week, mainly since Firefox was the true winner of the award. "Opera Software seems to have decided that it's easier to lie than to win," says Asa. Opera has since removed many of the award references; "At closer inspection, it appears that Opera might not have won the best browser of 2005 award from PC World after all," writes Opera's Haavard in his blog.
