Oh, so true... So true... Nothing like an animated GIF as a background and an annoying Top 40 song playing in the background with no player controls to stop it.

| well, now that's a whole 'nuther topic...
'course, there is a plethora of absolute muck, I should've specified that it's good for budding musicians/bands to connect w/their fans and have a simple page... nothing beats having a site of your own, but it's kind of neat to network with people who have actual taste, not just a desire to propogate crap.

| | Once a cash cow... DirecTv was once a cash cow, but now that there are other chocies and emerging ones (Verizon, anyone?) DirecTv is no longer the cash cow. To make this point, I've downgraded my package to remove ALL the movie channels because they keep telemarketing me to add StarZPack and other channels multiple times per month! Sorry, that just cost them $40+ per month... Tough luck, directv, make your plans more flexible, and cheaper, or by this time next year, I won't have directv AT ALL! | |

Sorry, that just cost them $40+ per month... Tough luck, directv, make your plans more flexible, and cheaper, or by this time next year, I won't have directv AT ALL! I dont get it. Because they call you, you limit whats availible to you? I understand the annoyance but how does that help you if you? If you weren't watching those channels, its no loss. But if you were, how does this help? As far as Verizon...yeah that FIOS will be showing up soon in Hollywood (not).
In other news, I think its a good idea there is another competitor in the market. More competition is better that last time I checked.
|
| | | | Re: Once a cash cow... Hes using his pocket change to create the another empire.Maybe?? | |
|
| | | | Well, If I decide to watch any of the 2,000 old titles they show on those $40 worth of networks.. I COULD simply download it, (chuckles)....
And you wonder why Portable Media Players are starting to take off!
Honestly, how many hours in a month do YOU have to watch movies in addition to regular cable-tv channels?
Its simply not worth as much as it used to be, thanks to competitive alternatives, whether it be free or fee based. If you do, keep supporting the cable pigs with greed in their eyes.. they KNOW subscribership is realizing the same sucking sound that VOIP is making to POTS.
