| Really......Qwest just needs to..... I really wish Qwest would get their heads out of their ass. I hate their slogan too......"spirit of service". When you start cherry picking areas where to deploy good services and then start suing munis for wanting to deploy their own better network....you got serious problems. | |

| Qwest still losing money Qwest may have an unwavering focus on their customers, but they still have a mgt team that can't seem to figure out how to make a profit. And until they can do that they aren't going to have much money left over for investing in upgrading their infrastructure. So I wouldn't look for big improvements anytime soon in Qwest territory. If you are looking for good customer service, I'd suggest you look elsewhere. And the stock market reflects how long Qwest has been in this funk: »finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=Q&t=my&···m&q=l&c= -- -- Join Red Room Forum My Web Page Conrail Photo Album | |

Havent these people figured out they are supporting a dying company? or at the least a company that cant get things done right for their customers and spend money on lawsuits rather then enhancing their services.

| Unwavering focus on the customer my ass! My company moved into our new building over 6 months ago and we are still dealing with their incompetence. They told us our building qualified for DSL only to have their engineers tell us it wasn't going to happen. They told us this practically the day we started moving to our new location. Don't get me started on their phone service. -- My time is a piece of wax, falling on a termite, that's choking on a splinter. --Beck | |

| Qwest aint as stupid as you make them out to be... Sure you want 15MBPS fiber to your house, who would not LIKE it?
I sure as heck don't feel like paying for it. I am happy with my 1.5/894 service I have today, and Qwest is giving me that. And 1.5 million other customers, add that to the 10% growth they saw last quarter (Because of insane price incentives) and they are not that stupid after all.
The masses want 1.5 for $19.99 right now, sure us nerds want 15MB, but do we pay for it en-mass?
Nope.
I like my POTS+Unlimited LD+DSL+DirecTV for $87.00 kiss my bundle A$$ Cox. 10/2 Cable is $54.99 alone, I don't need it until there is content other than BT for it.

| Re: Qwest aint as stupid as you make them out to be... UTOPIA fiber was the best Internet I ever had.. (I moved.) Qwest was nothing but problems in my areas, and fought to have UTOPIA blocked for a buildout. My thought: Qwest, your days of POTS and your 28% coverage of DSL in the SLC valley and the crappy service are over. Once UTOPIA is completed, you better start finding a new income source. | |

| Re: Qwest aint as stupid as you make them out to b hm, that's a nice price for all of that service. I couldn't find similar savings at SBC when I looked a while back.:( DirecTV shot it over $100 as I recall. Last month I paid $67 for all of the above minus DirecTV via SBC. Is Qwest underselling somewhere (else)? | |

| Re: Qwest aint as stupid as you make them out to b Its not all bad, I live in a rural area just east of Parker (Suburb of Denver) and 4 months ago they started taking orders for DSL out here. This is the first time that a wired broadband solution has been available out here. Sure we have the wireless companies, but they have their issues, and so does qwest (More than their fair share). They are making progress though, I'm switching from a wireless company to Qwest. If I'm not happy, I'll go back to the wireless companies and stay there. I know many people that have their DSL and have had no problems, and say their tech support durring the day is awsome (night time is a different story). Truthfully I want them to start rolling out fiber service, but I can still dream...:D | |

| Re: Qwest aint as stupid as you make them out to b You are correct the night time tech support is sometime less the what you might expect. I can say one thing except for their troubles with billing, which is a lot better then it has been in the past, they have really improved. -- Low voltage Tech's are wimps, Real tech's use 45 pound filament transformers, plate voltages no less then 2400 volts with at least 10 amp's lighting 8877 triodes...BPL I'm coming to get you. | |

| Qworst....
I'm 16 miles sound of the State Capitol of Minnesota and I just have ADSL available this week. I still can't get my preferred ISP, Speakeasy. They have to try to fill the remote terminal cabinet and then, in maybe a year Speakeasy can get me ADSL. Right now, it's Comcrust or 144 IDSL (which I was lucky enough to order in the six months it was available). Oh, I forgot to mention the option of dial-up. I run my own servers, so I now have Comcrust and IDSL coming into my home, so I can run my servers and provide a home-office connection and decent download speeds at a cost of $125/mo. Good thing you can get basic cable ($8/mo) and get $15/mo off of your cable internet bill. Go figure... We don't need choices, we need a locked-in duopoly... Let the others trench their own cables. Sounds like Qworst should be prepared for more cable cuts....
