Forum Members Lament Lack of Emergency Security
(old news - 07:54AM Thursday Jul 27 2006)

More lamentation from the users in our Fios forum, who continue to complain about the fact that Verizon yanks their copper lines after a Fios install. Users are concerned that the lack of a traditional landline puts them in jeopardy in an emergency, as the Fios backup battery may not last (users say it fades after about 10-12 hours). Users offer solutions, including purchasing extra batteries, or a UPS.
