1 edit | Wow, how hard is that to understand??? .002 dollars per kilobyte equals two tenths of a dollar, or $.20 (twenty cent) per kilobyte, instead of two tenths of a cent. At $.002 (two thousandths of a dollar) you would need 100 units to equal $.20, 2/10 of a dollar, or 20 cents.
At .002 cents (two thousandths of a cent) you would need 10,000 units to equal $.20, 2/10 of a dollar, or 20 cents. (or 50,000 to equal 100 cents or 1.00 dollar)

When you are dealing with such a small rate (as in fractions of a cent), it's not at all unreasonable to think that .002 cents means exactly that: 2/1000 of 1 cent. If a business isn't responsible or intelligent enough to use proper units of measurement in their advertisement, then that's their fault. It isn't the burden of the customer to figure out what they meant. quote: That or he is the biggest retard out there.
Are you sure you aren't the genius lady that works for Verizon? The one that claimed she had a "difference of opinion" about a trivial arithmetic problem that most 2nd graders should be able to solve? quote: There was a story a few years back where a lady took a large stack of $100 or $1000 off coupon from a newspaper ad to a dealership. She wanted to buy the car using their coupon.
Absolutely horrible analogy. Verizon had already charged this guy and absolutely refused to give him the rate they advertised. The lady was only trying to purchase the car. The only way your analogy makes sense is if Verizon notices their mistake up front and refuses to give the guy the .002 cents/kilobyte rate *before* he starts using their services. if that were the case, this would be a non-issue. That is not the case. quote: I thought we were above the likes of Nigeria, Russia and China. Apparently, we have some ways to go still.
Yea, because the scammer is the guy who expects a company to honor what they state as their rate, and not the company who refuses to honor the rate they stated on about three difference occasions. What planet are you from, exactly?

| Have to give him credit Have to give the guy credit, he was able a full refund. Most companies that make mistakes like that will just tell you to bad.
example: You go to an online store and they are selling a laptop for $800 that would normally go for $1,800. It's basically a typo error.
Is there any difference between verbal and typo errors? In my opinion there is no difference. If a company made a mistake then they should honor it and pick up the pieces afterwards.

$0.015 cents per kilobyte..OK...how do you pronounce that?
"it would be verbally given as 0.015ths of a cent"....WTF?
Since when do we combine fractions and decimals? It's still .015 of a DOLLAR, for crying out loud.
