More and more Comcast customers are seeing extended speed downloads... ala PermaBoost(©Big_D)!
This is good if you really think about it:
More sites/servers will need to upgrade *their* bandwidth for millions of new patrons wanting their files at break-neck speeds.
Comcast sees that customers like getting their files in seconds instead of minutes, or in minutes vs hours... YAY!
Sure, we will see those that expect to run full on for days(on what is anyone's guess) get abuse letters/phonecalls... oh well! Not going to bother me!
I download in the range of 30GB per month.
More speed means I get to USE my files now instead of later.
It does *NOT* mean I can download more - there's not that much out there to download!
I either already have it, or it just plain sucks and I don't want it.
Yeah! I do see 3MB/sec+ from a couple sites.
Imagine, more and more demand for faster delivery will(should) intice sites to deliver faster.
Credit where credit is due: Thanks Verizon FiOS!
Comcast does have a little horsepower on tap, now more and more of us Comcast customers are seeing some of it!
Verizon has made Comcast see that there is a want out there for {Tim Allen} More Power!{/Tim Allen}
Thanks!
