| This is the best story I have heard yet. I'm glad the tech's are ok, but lets review and relate. If you were a tech, and you'd just got out of your truck, turned around, and seen a naked teenager with a shotgun running at your, screaming "Gimmie your truck!", what more can you do, or how could you react? That would just be a mind blowing experience, I think. It is definately something you can look back on and laugh at. If I were the tech, I would be overjoyed by the fact that he wrecked the truck. I wouldn't want to sit down on the same seat that this dudes naked, sweaty butt-cheeks were on. Goodness, kids need to lay off the drugs.

I've worked with some VERY smart and credible scientists (double doctorates with several minors) and I can say they have no clue about relationships: they've been too focused on their careers and not enjoyed life and situations.
In light of what transpired, she is as much a victim as the woman she targeted. I think all THREE need evaluation, and early retirement. I see a Lifetime channel story coming...

1 edit | Lucky to be Alive. I know those two techs, they were both in my crew and I have worked with them closely. I am just thrilled they are ok. The one guy told me the story the other day and I was just shocked! Not only have I worked in that town but I live in that town!!! From what he said, they were just doing their jobs and the guy came out of nowhere. They didn't do anything to provoke this guy. Craziness.
edit: He said they were working on a digup in a front yard on this street. The truck was running because of the work that needed to be done, blowers/heaters and such. The one guy I'll call Chris saw the guy coming at them with the shotgun, naked and purple from the cold. The other tech, a heavyset gentleman I'll call Lloyd heard Chris say "Hey Lloyd, we gotta get the hell out of here!" They both started running, with the gunman tracking Chris. Chris stated as he was running he looked back in his life flight to see if he had eluded his would-be assailant only to see him aim, apparently pull the trigger with no shot. Chris then said the gunman struggled with the firearm to no avail, then disguarding it made for the utility truck and proceed to chase after Lloyd. Lloyd, exhausted from the ordeal to this point, passes out face first in a snow bank on the side of the road. Chris runs to help him as the 19yo male drives the ulility vehicle into a parked, unaffiliated construction truck, parked on the street. At which point the unarmed attacker attempted to commandeer a backhoe that was in use. The operator, seeing this unarmed crazy person refused to leave the cab at which point the assailant was apprehended by the local authorities. (GO SPD!) Needless to say it was quite an ordeal for all involved. It just goes to show, you never know...... | |

| Playing GTA while using drugs? But I will say one thing about those AT&T techs, running from a nut waving a shotgun (they did not know it was not loaded at the time) is NOT the smartest thing to do (unless they already had 50+ yards on him).
NOTE: the 50+ yards assumes that he had standard bird shot and not 00 or slug loads, which would be a good assumption 99% of the time.
