| Re: Let it begin ooooh! I'm on your 'list'! WOW.. I'm guessing your list shares a LOT in common with your whackjob idol, Joe McCarthy. In fact, if we took a poll, I'm sure about 95% of the people on BBR would LOVE to be on 'your list'. That's actually a badge of honor, to be on the 'retire_rich' list. I mean, it means we're free thinkers, not corporate drones. It means we belive in the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of JUSTICE. It means we believe that the government under Dumbass Dubyah has become a fascist state. All those things are qualifications for your 'list'. Put me at the TOP of the list, in BIG BOLD TYPE, so everyone knows that I stand for everything that you are NOT! -- Stick it to the MAN. Support your local torrent sites. As the other poster stated patriot is not a person clapping every time the GOV says something. Clap on dude. Wait until a Democrat or the Democrat in Republican clothing (Rudi Gulianni) gets elected President. There will be a real shocker in store for most.
Being a patriot now = phone taps, 1st class mail being rooted through, near mandatory ISP data collection and retention of ALL citizens web surfing. Remember your a good guy or gal on the A-team...for now.
Recall, back to the near distant future of 1994, when Bill Clinton was President and how he and the Democrats defined a patriot. A patriot equaled any law abiding citizen who owns a gun. Current Democratic definition = gun owner = patriot= bad homegrown terrorist.
An exciting era lies just ahead. Take the current crop of Democrats who are rabidly anti-gun. They WILL ban guns first chance they get and ban ones 2nd Amendment Constitutional Right to keep and bear arms. Is anyone gullible enough to believe, that our other God givin' Rights won't follow suit, in quick order?
Be prepared, hope for the best, brace yourself for the worst. -- Its the Democrats fault. In fact it is the Speaker of House Polosi fault. Everything is the Democrats fault. Everything. Just like Everything was the Republicans Fault when they were in power. | |

We drive to the starbucks 2 blocks away in a military style "off road" vehicle on pavement - a vehicle that was made by a company whose management is breaking promises to its generations of workers, gives 5 miles to a gallon of gasoline that lines the pockets of greedy corporations and might as well be the blood of the suppressed workers in places where we'd like to let freedom march.
So this oil worker is living off pennies a day, trying to feed his family when our bunker busting bomb just spread some freedom on his mud hut and killed off the entire family but a 7 year old boy.
That boy goes begging for help from the nearest GI Joe, who taunts him and makes him run behind his truck to catch a bottled of 99 cent water, oh and in the process he spits his tobacco chew on the doorstep of the mosque they happened to be passing by...can't blame him though, a shithole looks like the next and the one after it
The soldier is only an 18 year old college freshman who wanted free college money so he signed up to be the best he could be...he kills during the day and at night jerks off to pictures of his girlfriend back home whom he knocked up before leaving home and who, while he doesn't know this yet, will now have to raise a kid on her own because the boyfriend will be blown to pieces by an IED soon enough.
The boy is now pissed because his family is dead, he can't get an education, a job, or food and water. He is attracted to a group of people who instil in him some self respect, dignity and promise to help him fight the Amrikkans to avenge his loved ones and his country and his religion.
The boy goes on a suicide mission and blows up a humvee full of soldiers. Al Jazeera broadcasts that a 10 year old Muslim kid martyred himself in the service of God and his country....and Fox News tells Pat Robertson's followers that an islamic terrorist killed a truck full of American soldiers as a symbol of Jihad, his hatred of the West and Christianity.
The dead boy's neighbors and friends mourn him and celebrate his bravery...and volunteer their own lives to honor his memory and to serve their country just like he had opposing the occupiers!
The dead soldiers girlfriend cries herself to sleep trying to explain to herself, so she can repeat it to her newborn baby, why daddy won't be coming home. The soldier's parents hang yellow ribbons on their minivans as a sign of their support of the troops.
All while this has been going on, Exxon and Halliburton made billions of dollars. And our Government spent entirely too much money to kill more humans of all skin colors....money which could have gone towards teaching children, feeding the hungry, helping the ill, saving the environment, ..... | |

1. decide that we have had enough and stop it, or
2. we are all dead.
I personally believe it will be #2, as human nature wont allow us to walk away without having the last word, or kill in this example. | |

"Klein says what he knows won't help terrorists.
"The only people that are being kept in the dark is the American people who are being misled and not realizing, not being told that their private information, that their liberties are being destroyed and tramped on," he said."
---
So let me get this right, if we as a people give up what we are fighting for, we will be better off? If we disregard our own laws, liberty, and Constitution, we are doing the right thing? If we willingly abandon all of this and more, this is the right thing to do? What is our media supposed to do without people like this guy? How are we to be informed of a possibly illegal operation by our very own gov't?
Well, that's great, sign me up to get an "instrument of obedience," Star Trek style, and I'll never speak of how the world is hollow, and I have touched the sky. /Sarcasm...
How on earth this helps a terrorist is beyond me. If they're dumb enough to use public net/phone links with zero notion that they'd probably be monitored ...that's absurd.
I can't believe it's such a huge deal to be so hush hush about something everybody knows is true anyway.

If this program were illegal, someone would be charged with a crime. Nobody was charged with a crime.
quote: It went away because it could not.
It did not go away. It went somewhere else. It went somewhere else because it was no longer viable to collect the intelligence at that point. The location was compromised. It therefore became impossible to collect the desired information.
SIGINT is the most vulnerable form of intelligence because the target has control of the resource.
I don't expect you to understand that... but it is a fact never the less. | |

That's really not accurate. Nobody's been charged with a crime because it's impossible to chew threw the layers of the national security onion to discern reality, not because a crime hasn't been committed. | |
