Cuban Cheers YouTube Lawsuit 'Google may not know it, but they have already lost' Wednesday Mar 14 2007 09:48 EDT Mark Cuban, as you might expect, has come out cheering over yesterday's decision by Viacom to sue Google/YouTube for a cool billion. As CEO of HDNet, Cuban has a vested interest in seeing YouTube (and all broadband video) fail, though that's not to say he doesn't occasionally make a decent point. "Google may not know it, but they have already lost," says Cuban, who says the content industry will simply change the DMCA to enable their victory. "The entertainment industry may not be great at many things, but getting copyright law changed to meet their expectations is one thing they are better than any one at." |
