If you listened solely to press releases, you might think that most customers now get data, voice and video services all from one provider (aka the "triple play"). The results of a new survey indicate that 85% of consumers don't grab the triple play, though that number is down from 89% a year ago (that slow shift exciting investors). Comcast is the most successful at signing up triple-play customers, thanks largely to their aggressive VoIP push and their $99 introductory bundle. Still, the majority of users are preferring to pick and choose their services, and the "quadruple play" (adding a wireless option) remains little more than a provider pipe dream.
