I'm no longer a subscriber, but I changed to Fios and I've been thrilled since the day I did it. OptOnline was great for a while, but then my node I believed got saturated---slowdowns during peak times, some latency I wasn't happy with and occasional outages.
Switched to Fios in 2005 and never had an outage yet (aside from an outage caused by power), extremely consistent throughput, and latency that is rediculously low.
Verizon is making a great push, and I think eventually they will take over more CV subscribers, but I don't see that happening for 10 years at least.
None the less, it's nice that CV is doing this for their customers.

| Boo Comcast Comcast is a down right joke. Comes no where near what OOL offers. Considering their the biggest and richest its actually pretty sad.
Everyone keeps saying o0 comcast is waiting for 3.0 deployment..bla bla hell whatever version their on now can do better than 8/768, powerboost just proves that.
It kinda ticks me off that i pay just as much or more than OOL customers but receive alot less for my money..but then again its America and corporate at its finest.
/end rant..sorry got woken up at 8 55am and tired and pissed | |
