Powerboost requires Docsis 1.1 or higher to work. If you have a Moto Surfboard 5100 or similar modem, you're golden and will get PB up and down.
I routinely get 10-15 megs on my 8.80/768 connection. Upload PB won't be far behind to my area. | |

Downloading and uploading large files for a few minutes at a time from/to fast sites (like Comcast's web servers or upload FTP area) is a pretty good test.
