Vonage starts hitting users up with sales pitch....

Looking to recoup investor losses, SunRocket's liquidator Sherwood Partners is (as one might expect) busy selling everything that's not nailed down. The company has sold limited hardware assets, and they even sold Packet8 and TeleBlend the right to call themselves "outstanding replacement services" in email pitches to users.

Sherwood's also apparently sold the SunRocket customer list to Vonage, according to SunRocket Customers. Users say they're being directed to this URL, which offers them waived activation fees and two free months of service.

 many wanted to do a class action suit against sunrocket...

no pockets.

if you can prove that Sherwood Partners sold the list deliberately violating the privacy policy which it was collected under, one may have a case.

and they may have pockets... likely decent ones.

one may even be able to take this further as such a breach violates many aspects on ones life.

SunRocket has sold or leaked our email addresses and phone numbers before.

There was lots of proof and documentation in the SR forum. Many of us had unique email addresses for Sunrocket only and began receiving crazy spam on those private email addresses - all at the same time.

It's just the kind of company we're dealing with. Nothing was sacred.

Keep an eye on your credit card statements for any mysterious charges in coming months.

Nothing unexpected...........

I'm certainly not surprised (nor offended) that I got a letter from Vonage in the mail.

Actually.........had I rec'd one of those big boxes on my porch that others were reporting *early* in this SR fiasco I may very well have gone that route.

Other than that, being that I still have fun w/ VOIP, I don't mind seeing offers from other folks. Ain't nothin' worse than the AVON books that show up on my driveway every week that I have to go pick up & throw in the trash can week after week after week.

Ripped off customers should force SR into bankruptcy..

I haven't heard of any mention to reimburse customers who paid for annual service plan. Otherwise the investors are going to get all the money and you'll end up being ripped off.

THEY ARE FALSE ADVERTING WITH THAT OFFER!! THEY DO NOT SEND THE PHONE ADAPTER OVERNIGHT, IT TAKES A WEEK!
