| seriousluy.... corperate lobbying needs to die This really is pissing me off... I hate the fact that they lobby with large sums of cash to get their way.... that and lie, cheat, and work the corrupt system.
Corporations should NOT have the same privileges as individuals. Do you know any single person with that much cash? I think not.

What does taxation have to do with lobbyists paying off Congre$$ional whores to do their bidding? Newsflash, sparky, corps already pay the barest minimum in taxes and completely suspending those taxes won't suddenly compel them not to have lobbyists anymore. Taxation without representation. Can't throw them out of the political process unless you're ready to stop taking their money. And if you don't like whores in Congress, stop electing them.
said by major marco :Newsflash, sparky, corps already pay the barest minimum in taxes and completely suspending those taxes won't suddenly compel them not to have lobbyists anymore. No, but you can get away with a law banning corporate lobbying if you stop taxing them.

Corporations are all about money. It's why they are created, why they continue to exist, and why they get into politics. You don't blame businesses for looking after their bottom line, that's what they're supposed to do. You blame a government that can't stop itself from raiding the bank accounts of anyone that makes any money and will put up with anything to keep the flow coming in. Wean yourself off of the money trough and you'll then have the moral high ground to ban corporate lobbying. -- What's certain about Darwinism is that it would take less time for (1) a single-celled organism to evolve into a human being through mutation and natural selection than for (2) Darwinists to admit they have no proof of (1) - Ann Coulter

| Re: Battle of the Monster Corporations ... I heard that enough times, as I had my phone line out for 5 days (5 hours on 1 day, and Friday through Monday for both phone and DSL the 2nd time)... blamed on contractors.
1. There was a short on the line.. POTS out, DSL up. AT&T van 2 houses down, wasn't fixed for 5 hours. Tech cut me over to a different pair.
2. 3 days later, lost POTS and DSL. Called up Friday, and won't be able to fix it until Monday at the earliest. It appears the contractor working on the cross connect moved me back to the old pair, which was now disconnected. AT&T stated that the contractors must of had an outdated sheet listing of the connections, or the update to the AT&T database hadn't gone through to the worksheet in time. -- Canada = Hollywood North

| BOYCOTT the service!!! Just make sure not a SINGLE consumer subscribes to the service.. stage massive boycott to keep people away from the Wisconsin deployment.... This will make AT&T waste millions in deployment and not have a single customer...
It's simple to talk the talk, but to actually challenge the behemoths and prevent them from acquiring customers would be a much better task than griping about how a company is doing everything in it's power to scam it's way into getting some of cable's market share...
Consumers must be educated about the REAL costs and value of the services rendered.. they are NOT equal to most cable company's cablemodem/voip offerings and have taxes/fees that fatten the bottom line price you pay. When compared to the local cable competitor it's not such a great deal... you must make this hit home to the potential buyers of the service. Also, to be wary of "contracts" for a NEW UNPROVEN service with UNPROVEN reliability/track record.

| Re: BOYCOTT the service!!! Well if they must be educated, at least give them truthful information
This service does not require contracts and it does appear to be less expensive than cable. Taxes and fees on this service are the same as what cable charges. So keep that in mind the next time you go about educating people.
