Qwest Wants To Offer Wireless Broadband Exploring partnerships, possibly with Sprint... Qwest already resells Sprint wireless phone and EVDO service as an MVNO. That largely excites nobody, because users can get the same services from Sprint for less money, and Qwest caps the unlimited EVDO service, something Sprint doesn't do. Qwest's CEO is now hinting that this isn't good enough, and the company is looking for partners so that they can get into the wireless broadband business more seriously. Said CEO Edward Mueller yesterday: "We need a partner for broadband data, we will be looking at everybody including Sprint,” Mueller said. “Our wireless offerings need to be state of the art, need to be right up front with everybody else. We need partners for wireless in business. We are working hard on the partnerships and it’s a big deal on our partnerships." Mueller's comments are likely a hint that they may try to offer WiMax service in their territory in conjunction with Sprint.

They are definitely the Qworst MVNO. I sure wish i lived in FiOS country now. Im using Qworst DSL right now, and they haven't even attempted to upgrade from 1.5. I really dislike this company. I don't know how you can say Qwest wireless is a rip off compared to Sprint.
You have heard that Qwest is in the process of deploying FTTN to increase speeds, right?
We all wish we lived in FiOS country, but even if Verizon was the carrier where you live it would be no guarantee that they would deploy FiOS to you. ROI will determine whether or not your area gets faster speeds. | |
