Not in the US unless it's T-mobile. ATT said they are in no rush for LTE since they plan to rely on higher speeds of HSPA for quite a few years. Verizon has to do a major overhaul to get LTE out and I suspect they won't rush into it unless WiMAX is showing significant success. There could be a few LTE pilots in the US within 3-4 years though.
It's disconcerting that many think this is like a format war. WiMAX/LTE is not like the blueray/hddvd or betamax/vhs battle. It can compared to cable and dsl. Both co-exist and used by what resources are available to each vendor. WiMAX will be pushed by the IEEE/cable/consumer electronics industry and LTE will be pushed by the telcom industry. Unless you love telcom deathstar industry control, any consumer should really want more open WiMAX to succeed whether LTE is available or not.
