| | | | | Re: wish I could just get uverse i thought u verse was fiber | |
|
| | | | | | Re: wish I could just get uverse LoL, it's how AT&T defines fiber. | |
|
| | | | | | | Re: wish I could just get uverse cheap bastards. next thing your going to tell is cox is fiber. I used to work for a cable company so I know what fiber is and is not. | |

| | | | | | | 1 edit | haha thats a bunch of bullshit. I think the new DOCSIS 3.0 that coming out soon will beat att to a pulp. | |

|
| | | | | | | | | 1 edit | Re: wish I could just get uverse your right but its cheaper for the 3.0 upgrades. The way I look at is the cable modem will be around for the next 10 to 15 years before fiber will used at a persons home. | |

Do they want to collect those USF fees so badly that they still only offer POTS service here, just north of L.A., where Uverse has been available for a year and a half. -- Canada = Hollywood North

I suspect that the more affluent areas of SoCal, where they can milk POTS to death, or fear having issues and a real revolt, they'll wait it out for a while. In highly competitive areas, or areas that they have nothing to lose (Detroit was an initial market, wasn't it), they'll offer the olive branch.
I'm at least glad that AT&T deployed 3G 850MHz here in Santa Clarita though.... it was long over due. Now if only I can get that HTC Fuze. -- Canada = Hollywood North

| | Whooping on cable now...
Cable really needs to get moving on getting whole house DVR service rolling. This announcement certainly makes Uverse more attractive when compared to cable DVR service. -- --- Drilling for more oil is akin to giving a methhead the keys to the meth lab.

Switching to U-verse was clearly the best choice. I didn't think I'd be so completely satisfied with U-verse as a whole, but it really is a fantastic product.
