| | | Re: Will this mean expanded coverage for Clear Wire? Looks to be just more licensed areas they can provide service in. They already have licenses to that spectrum where they are serving customers now. So this will not directly improve service/speed but will allow them to grow their footprint.
However it may boost their stock price for their impending IPO.

Clearwire didn't spend that money just to sit on the spectrum forever. I expect they will use it to roll out their services to more areas. -- -- My BLOG My Web Page

I smell something fishy, possible merger of Sprint-Nextel & Clearwire???

Even if he were fired, his golden parachute would certainly leave him rolling in money.

I hope that Sprint does not blow it and goes with their $55 a month for multiple devices. If they roll it out correctly, then they could have a winning product on-hand. They current have inexpensive wireless data as far as it goes in the cellular sector.

| Good for Clearwire As a satisfied Clearwire customer in Idaho - I am happy to see the company expanding and getting more spectrum. AT&T's recent merger ended up benefiting Clearwire quite a bit it seems. WiMax is going to work (and work well I predict) at delivering wireless broadband to many parts of this country. | |
