Mendocino County, CA

I don't know what everything in that document means, but I take it Cable Holdco Exchange V, Llc. is Comcast? That's who it says all the licenses for Mendocino County (DBA Century Mendocino Cable Television) are to be transferred to.

Actually, I think Cable Holdco Exchange V, LLC is part of Time Warner, evidenced by an excerpt from an 04/2005 8-K SEC filing for Time Warner Inc.:
"Also on April 20, 2005, TWC, Cable Holdco, Inc., a Delaware corporation and a subsidiary of TWC (“Cable Holdco”), Comcast and certain of its affiliates, including Comcast Trust II, entered into an amendment..."
It appears TW is naming each limited liability company (LLC) with a different roman numeral (e.g. “Cable Holdco II”, “Cable Holdco III”, etc.) and it is my guess that TW and Comcast will be using subsidiaries like these to make the transfer of cable systems between each company.

If I am reading this correctly, I think the Mendocino licenses will be assigned to the TW subsidiary (Cable Holdco) and, at a later date, transferred to Comcast. If you read pages 7 and 8 of the document where you saw the licenses, you will see that the licenses you referenced are involved in a 2-part transaction...
STEP 1
Licenses to be assigned to Cable Holdco Exchange V, LLC
File No. Licensee Call Sign
CAR-20050520AC-08 Century Mendocino Cable Television, Inc. (DIP) WAD-902
CAR-20050520AD-08 Century Mendocino Cable Television, Inc. (DIP) WLY-818
CAR-20050520AE-08 Century Mendocino Cable Television, Inc. (DIP) WSF-24

STEP 2
Control of licensee to be transferred to Comcast Corporation
File No. Licensee Call Sign
CAR-20050523BH-09 Cable Holdco Exchange V, LLC WAD-902
CAR-20050523BI-09 Cable Holdco Exchange V, LLC WLY-818
CAR-20050523BJ-09 Cable Holdco Exchange V, LLC WSF-24

Of course I could be wrong, in which case forget what I said. In any case, looks like Comcast ends up with control of the Century Mendocino Cable licenses.

Re: Mendocino County, CA

Good post and info, thanks HPC! I was pretty sure we were going to go to Comcast after the deal is all done, this looks like that's a definite.

It makes sense for our area, everything from our southern neighbor county of Sonoma, into the Bay Area and Central California, as well as the Sacramento area and much of the Northern Sacramento Valley to our east(except for Redding and Red Bluff, who are with Cox)and Central Valley is Comcast. It's Cox to our north in Humboldt County, then further north it's Charter, in Del Norte County (the last county before you hit Oregon), to our immediate East, in Lake County, it's Mediacom.
