Adelphia, Southern California’s largest cable operator, announced today that Adelphia Cable customers in Ventura County can now enjoy an entirely new cable television experience that provides unprecedented choice, convenience, and control. The company is introducing Adelphia DVR with Moxi, a digital video recording system that enables viewers to watch any television program whenever they want.

Much easier to use than a VCR, Adelphia DVR allows customers to pause and rewind live TV and to record a full season of their favorite shows, simply by clicking on the title, instead of setting day, time, and channel. It works with both standard and high-definition televisions, and allows viewers to watch one show while recording another—or even to record two shows at the same time while they play back a third.

Adelphia DVR uses a Motorola set-top box with Moxi software and interactive guide. Designed for casual browsing and rapid search, the Moxi Menu allows viewers fast access to current and future listings and breakthrough simplicity of operation. The Adelphia DVR has two high definition tuners and hard disk storage for up to 60 hours of standard definition programming or 8-15 hours for HDTV programs.
