"..streamers face an escalating battle with American cities over local utility fees"Here we go. Cities can't slap fee's on services that you get over from broadband. Next thing you know, we will be paying a "fee" for every filter we put in our furnace, every light bulb we install or every time we open the fridge door , or strike a match to light the gas fireplace, and last but not least, for every streaming service a residence subscribes to, Sirius, Pandora, Spotify etc. But the FCC can't sit back let this slide. It's ether a full blown utility or it's not. And if it's not, you can't let cities, states, etc just label something because they can bilk money from the users.
