"He was easygoing, he was easy to talk to, he made me feel comfortable," Frey said of her first date with Peterson on Nov. 20, 2002.
Dressed in a black skirt and blazer, the prosecution's soft-spoken key witness took the stand for the first time amid a packed courtroom. She calmly detailed the first time she met Peterson and highlighted their dates, painting a picture of how quickly the relationship progressed.
Prosecutors in the double-murder trial allege that Peterson killed his pregnant wife, Laci, around Christmas in 2002 and that his motives were his affair with Frey and hopes for financial gain.
From the time Peterson and Frey's relationship began, Peterson told the Fresno massage therapist a series of lies, according to previous testimony from other witnesses.
