New York Times has an article today breaking down the reasons why a la carte cable is a bad idea for consumers. Calling it a be careful what you wish for situation, the author warns that a number of channels would end up going out of business which would offer consumers less programming options. Additionally, the article shows how prices on most peoples cable bills would rise instead of decrease.
