| | | Must be nice having a hot phone with limited Exchange software. How is that Push Email feature working for you? Don't get me wrong I like Android and other open sources options like Linux Ubuntu 64 BIT. Comparing it to Iphone or a WinMo device or even Blackberry is not right as of yet because it cant do Push email.

I've always been a fan of Open Source.
Just hope they can pack a ton of features into a small amount of RAM (64MB). I do have 256MB of Flash and an 8GB MicroSD Card, so space isn't an issue. Unless they can make an incredibly efficient swap file that won't burn out your flash.

| | | Re: iPhone 2.2 Apple Smapple. Who cares!
I know I'll never buy an iPhone. Especially when I will have the choice of 10 different phones (soon hopefully) running Android.
Winbloz mobile, pfffft nobody will even remember it 5 years from now. It will become the Commodore 64 of mobile OS's.

| | | | Re: iPhone 2.2 ... because that is clearly what has happened with their operating system, right?
One thing that Microsoft has going for them is their Exchange server. Companies don't want to outsource their communication and feel that it is safer and well guarding within the confines of their grip. Until Microsoft makes Exchange available to any OS, I doubt that they'll be losing their grip.
Also, I know that Apple recently licensed the tech to work on the iPhone, but I doubt a vast majority of vendors would be willing to do this because I am assuming the costs associated to the licensing is not insignificant.

But so many other components. I'm not a programmer. I'd love to get into this stuff but how and where to begin? Would just a C environment be enough to manipulate all the core and external projects?
What is Linux 'written with'? I'd have thought it would be something like Assembly, but knowing that's real old school these days.... I dunno... KM -- Don't Lie - Be Kind - Realize your Potential
